Methanol Chemicals Company (Chemanol) deservedly won the shield for the best virtual experiment for the safety of vital facilities in Jubail Governorate, as part of the Jubail Emergency Committee (Jama’a) program for the year 2022, according to a statement by the Chairman of the Jubail Emergency Committee (Jama’a), Eng. Nayef bin Ali Al-Qahtani, who explained that the Jubail Emergency Committee (Jama’a) implemented a program to follow up on fire and industrial disaster prevention plans for all members of the “Jama’a” from industrial companies and vital sectors operating in Jubail and Ras Al-Khair, where 26 successful virtual experiments were implemented during the year 2022, and Methanol Chemicals Company (Chemanol) won the shield for the best virtual experiment for the safety of industrial facilities for the year 2022.
The committee shield was received by the member of the board of directors and managing director of Chemanol Company, Eng. Sabry bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, in the presence of the members of the board of directors of Chemanol Company and representatives of the Jubail Emergency Committee (Jama’a).
Eng. Nayef bin Ali Al-Qahtani, Chairman of the Group, added that the safety of industrial facilities in Jubail Governorate is considered one of the most important factors for industrial growth and investment success. It is also considered one of the most important foundations for attracting local and international investments in the industrial field in Jubail and Ras Al-Khair, as the committee works to create an industrial work environment committed to all security and safety instructions, which positively reflects on the growth of these industries, and thus raises the level of performance and production, considering safety as a basic factor in the course of these operations and one of their most important tributaries.
By the grace of God, the work environment in Jubail Governorate enjoys a precise mechanism in the field of safety and fire prevention supervised by several entities, including the Higher Commission for Industrial Security at the Ministry of Interior, the Royal Commission in Jubail, and Civil Defense, in addition to the Jubail Emergency Committee (Jama’a).
The Jubail Emergency Committee (JEC) is a voluntary committee concerned with responding to emergencies and combating and extinguishing fires and industrial disasters in Jubail and Ras Al-Khair Industrial Areas. It was established in 1983 by the Supreme Commission for Industrial Security at the Ministry of Interior, SABIC and its subsidiaries, the Royal Commission and Civil Defense with the aim of protecting vital factories and industrial facilities in Jubail Governorate. It is worth noting that the number of committee members currently approaches 90 members.
