The Jubail Area Mutual Aid Association (JAMA’A) held its annual meeting for the year 2024 on Thursday, 25 Jumada Al-Akhlaar 1446H corresponding to December 26, 2024, at the Jubail Intercontinental Hotel in Jubail Industrial City in the presence of Mr. Mansour bin Zaid Al-Dawood. The meeting was chaired by Engineer Naif bin Ali Al-Qahtani, Chairman of the Jubail Emergency Committee (JEC), and attended by representatives of the committee members. Mr. Khalid bin Hassan Khalil, CEO of the committee, presented a detailed explanation of the committee’s achievements for the past year (2024) and discussed and approved the committee’s proposed work plan and budget for the coming year 2025.
His Excellency the Governor, Honorary President of Jama’a, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the members of Jama’a, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Engineer Naif bin Ali Al-Qahtani, and Engineer Khalid bin Hassan Khalil, CEO of the Committee, for their voluntary services to maintain the safety of industrial facilities and their workers in this vital area. His Excellency also addressed a word of encouragement to the members of the committee to give more to serve the country, wishing safety, security and safety for all.
It is worth mentioning that the Jubail Emergency Committee (JEC) is the first voluntary committee concerned with fighting and extinguishing fires and industrial disasters in industrial facilities located within the boundaries of Jubail Governorate, including the Ras Al Khair area. Jama’a was established in 1983 with the membership of relevant government entities. As well as industrial facilities and hospitals through joint and organized cooperation between committee members to minimize the loss of life and property. It is also an effective supporting force for the civil defense to confront emergency situations and disasters with the human and technical capabilities of the committee’s more than 93 members.
