Jubail Area Mutal Aid Association (JAMA’A), in cooperation with the SABIC
Emergency Response Academy, held a three-day training course on the duties of a
safety officer at JAMA’A building from August 25-27, 2026.

The course was presented by trainers Saud bin Nayef Al-Otaibi and Mohammed bin
Salem Al-Haidar from the SABIC Emergency Response Academy, with the
participation of 24 trainees from various JAMA’A members in Jubail and Ras Al-Khair.
Similar courses are planned for the remaining members in the future.

At the conclusion of the course, Eng. Khalid bin Hassan Khalil, CEO of JAMA’A,
presented the trainees with their certificates of participation, wishing them success and
emphasizing the importance of the course in enhancing the participants’ knowledge and
developing their skills in the duties of a safety officer during emergencies, thus

contributing to improved response efficiency and enhanced coordination among
participating entities. This training course is an extension of the training programs that
JAMA’A has consistently implemented over the past years. JAMA’A has conducted
several free courses in various fields for its members, including Communications
Management, Assembly Area Management, and Incident Command. Many JAMA’A
members in Jubail and Ras Al-Khair have benefited from these courses.

These courses have had a positive impact on raising the level of preparedness and
response to emergencies among JAMA’A members and enhancing the participants’
proficiency in the major drills conducted annually at the members’ facilities.
